Emergency!

LOCKDOWN LOG - 210113

@ 08:00 - Skies are clear and there is not a single cloud in sight. It is the first day of the second Movement Control Order in Malaysia and as usual, many Malaysians have already made memes out of the current situation. Thankfully, there is not much on my agenda for today and I am looking forward to a day of working on assignments in my own time and playing games during my breaks. I had just finished a smoothie of frozen berries, bananas and chia seeds; looking forward to having a good lunch later.

@ 12:00 - On the move to go grab lunch. The destination is Le Food at SS15, thankfully within the 10km radius. Today is the first on the lunar calendar and as a Buddhist, we eat vegetarian for the day. The food took a while to be prepared, which is understandable as they had multiple orders from delivery services. Excited to have my lunch, I skipped down the slope outside the restaurant and it was not a pretty sight. MAYDAY. MAYDAY.

@ 1:00 - EMERGENCY. My mother rushed me to the nearest sports clinic, cutting short the doctor’s lunch break that was supposed to only end at one. After taking a few x-rays and an ultrasound, the doctor diagnosed the sprain as a grade 2 ligament tear and the expected recovery of 4-6 weeks whilst wearing a brace. Not the most ideal way of spending the second lockdown but it sure is something.
